Ford's Transform Dearborn Headquarters Become Research Center

Automatricschool. - Ford plan to convert their Dearborn headquarters in Michigan, USA become research center for Ford car now.

According Metrotvnews, (04/16/2016), that these changes aim to make the Dearborn facility into a more modern, environmentally friendly with high technology, to foster innovation as a company transitions Ford best car.

This transformation is scheduled to be completed within 10 years, and can accommodate 30,000 employees of 70 buildings divided into two locations, namely product campus and headquarters campus. In total, more than 7.5 million square feet of working space will be rebuilt and improved.

The project will produce a community that is complete, while the product campus will include a new design center, autonomous vehicles, on-demand shuttles, eBikes, new onsite employee services, wireless connectivity at speeds up to 10 times faster than today and more green spaces,
This step confirms that Ford does not only mean to be a car manufacturer alone, but will take advantage of opportunities that arise through Ford Smart Mobility with plans to become a leader in connectivity, mobility, autonomous vehicles, customer experience, data and analysis.

Construction of the new project will begin this month at Ford Research and Engineering Center, and most of the work is expected to be completed in 2023. According to Ford, the main work on the second campus at Ford World Headquarters will begin in 2021 and expected to be completed in 2026.
